An ANA 767 landed hard enough in Tokyo to bend the fuselage severely resulting in serious fuselage wrinkling forward of the wing. I suspect we’ve identified the next 767-300 to be retired from ANA’s fleet. Here is the video:
Maybe, depends on what the pilot flying was doing when it happened. It’s entirely possible the aircraft got hit by a downdraft at the worst possible moment. Notice that the camera is aimed ahead of where the aircraft landed? It looks like his sink rate was far greater than intended.
I suspect maybe we’ve identified the next pilot to be retired from ANA’s fleet, too…
